Our mission is to build an integrated storage platform as a hosted service for all aspects of a business application development at Amazon, including multi-tiered storage options, authoritative (primary)! storage, caching, pre-computation, on-demand computation, event notification, and search capability. Our engineers are customer-focused, strong performance analysts, Linux systems-savvy and good API designers. These skills help us define the bleeding edge for elegant, super-scalable services at Amazon.com.
The ideal candidate would have object-oriented programming experience in C++ or Java in the Unix environment, good understanding of Internet protocols including HTTP, DNS, and TCP, and strong problem solving and analytical skills.

eCommerce Platform Services
- C++ or Java developme! nt and object-oriented programming experience
- Developmen! t experience in a Unix environment
- Understanding of network protocols

- Experience with persistence technologies, like Berkeley Databases is a plus
