Job opening - Developer Evangelists (PHP & Java) at Sauce Labs (San Francisco, CA) (telecommute)

Sauce Labs, a startup building awesome tools for test driven developers, is looking for PHP and Java-focused evangelists who can help us create ideal development environments for these respective user bases. This a hybrid role that combines coding with evangelism, and is perfect for a technical developer who understands the important of testing and also enjoys attending and speaking at conferences and meetups.

The first part of the Developer Evangelists role is research and knowledge of their communities: talking to people, finding out how they’re using Selenium with the language, with which frameworks and what kind of workflow.

The second part is coding, to make things better. This will include contributions to open source testing tools to add features such as parallel test execution and improvements to Sauce’s APIs and libraries specifically for using our service.

The third part of the job is the evangelism part: take thos! e framework improvements and nice ways of doing Selenium testing to conferences and show people how they work, do tutorials on how to do Selenium testing well, talk about the tradeoffs between various tools and frameworks. You'll also be meeting people, keeping track of what’s happening with testing, and trying to spread good ideas.

If this sounds interesting, let’s talk!
