Job opening - Web Developer at Zivtech (Philadelphia, PA)

Zivtech, a four year old open source web development shop located in Center City, Philadelphia is looking for someone to join our growing team as a Web Developer.  This is a full time, entry level position where you will learn Drupal and a host of Open Source Software tools, and is a perfect job for someone fresh out of school as well as those with professional development experience looking for a new career. This position will report to a mentor Senior Developer and the Vice President (VP) of Engineering.  We are looking for people who will take this opportunity and run with it, who will share our enthusiasm and excitement towards learning new things and solving hard problems for our clients and for our business, and who will add to the awesome atmosphere we strive for in our offices.  Ideally we are looking to find someone who can grow with us, help us as we continue to expand, and become an essential member of our team.

Responsibilities Will Include:

• Building websites using Drupal & Theming them according to design specs.


• Becoming an active participant in Zivtech's review process (i.e. reviewing the work of other developers).


• Keeping meticulous track of time on a daily basis.


• Taking part in planning and scrum meetings.


• Communicating and facilitating with Senior Developers to prioritize client responses.


• Helping with Drupal community initiatives t! hat are a priority to Zivtech.


• Assisting with pl! anning and execution of trainings and events.


• Assisting with client estimation and discovery processes


• Conceptualizing and implementing web architectural plans devised by Senior Developers


• Creating and updating documentation- both internal and on Drupal.org.


• Assisting on internal development projects
