Linux + OSS + cloud = the New Microsoft! You, the Linux + OSS guru, will be a catalyst for change, in our Windows Azure architect team, wearing the hat of Cloud Architect.

Azure is Microsoft’s strategic focus and our leading Platform-As-A-Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offering. Azure is an open platform that works with a wide array of languages, tools, and frameworks, and offers virtual machines running both Windows Server and Linux.
For you, as Cloud Architect, your focus and energy will be spent in the Linux world. You'll engage with key ISV's worldwide to develop applications on Azure.
You’ll become intimately familiar with Azure’s services and APIs. You’ll master the capabilities of language-specific SDKs for Java, PHP, Node.js, Python, and other languages as they come your way. You will lea! rn the ins and outs of integrating OSS data stacks such as MongoDB, Cassandra, and Neo4j. You’ll help shape architectures based on scalability, performance, availability and cost. You will work (and visit!) with some of the most exciting consumer ISVs around the globe, helping them bring their apps to Azure. Your architectural guidance and deep technical insight will play a critical role as solutions are evaluated and development commences. You’ll share your profound knowledge and experience on StackOverflow and github.
