Amazon CloudFront is a web service which allows publishers to use the worldwide CloudFront content delivery network (CDN) to deliver static and streaming content.


Since November 2008, when CloudFront launched, we have been working hard adding new features, improving availability and scaling our systems. In that time, we've had a big impact on the CDN space, attracting some major customers and filling a gap in the market. As an Amazon Web Service, we believe in simple, reliable, and low cost systems which serve our customers needs. We plan to expand our services, our reach, and increase benefits to our customers and we need your help to get there.

As mentioned above our projects include massively scaleable distributed systems that provide inexpensive, reliable, global distribution. You should be somebody who enjoys working on systems software, is customer- centric, and feels strongly not only about building good software but also about running that software in the real world. You must enjoy a close-knit team environment of shared responsibility. The ideal candidate will have strong distributed systems and web services design and implementation experience. You should have a thorough understanding of Internet protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP and experience implementing servers using Java in a Linux/Unix environment.
