Job opening - Traction: Lead Front-End Developer

We are looking for a Lead Front-End Developer to join our team.  This position will be the primary architect on the front-end structure, lead meetings, instruct other team members, ensure the code is of the highest quality, and be the primary technical point of contact for the client's back-end development team. Candidates should have prior experience leading advanced front-end projects.

Responsibilities:

·      Create mobile optimized HTML5 pages from design comps

·      Develop advanced JavaScript applications

·      Lead and train team in advanced use of JavaScript

·      Create CSS3 layout and animations

·      Work with developers, designers, and clients to ensure code quality

 

Qualifications and Skills:

·      High Attention to detail to overseeing design integrity throughout the build process

·      Advanced senior-level knowledge of JavaScript, with and without libraries

·      Experience developing complex single-page JavaScript applications

·      Familiarity with one or more JavaScript MVC frameworks such as SproutCore, Backbone, Cappuccino, etc.

·      Hand code HTML/CSS/JavaScript

·      Mobile web development experience

·      Code to W3C Standards and Specifications

·      Knowledge of accessibility specifications

·      Proficient in version control systems Subversion and Git

·      Extensive experience debugging cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility issues

·      Excellent communication & problem-solving skills

·      General proficiency in Photoshop

·      Familiarity with JavaScript unit testing tools

 

Additional Skills a plus:

Ruby, PHP, Perl, XML, Flash/Flex/ActionScript, IT skills, familiar with Unix Shell
