- Manage all aspects of the software development life-cycle including definition, design, implementation, testing and delivery;
- Work with solutions architecture to team investigate specific solutions and create solution approaches for DEEP initiatives; design, code, test and document software modifications using iWay service manager and iWay Adapter Manger;
- Oversee testing of new software to ensure that boundary conditions, linkages, and processing options are confirmed;
- Provide technical expertise for integration technologies and processes;
- Oversee the generation of code applying best object oriented development practices and following industry and DoITT standards;
- Develop interfaces with legacy systems that communicate with the integration hub;
- Oversee the configuration and testing of adapters to ensure successful relay of data;
- Oversee resolve issues r! elating to the Datashare security gateway and agency adapter platforms, and the associated DEEP applications relying on these environments;
- Provide impact assessments, propose design options, and assess levels of effort;
- Provide input to the decision-making process of system requirements;
- Oversee the development of design documents;
- Ensure that development team follows program documentation standards;
- Research new technologies related to service oriented architecture and application integration and develop proof of concepts;
- Prepare senior level technical reports for executive management;
- Manage special technology projects and initiatives as assigned. The position’s responsibilities include commitment to and compliance with the City’s EEO policy.
Hours/Shift: Day - Due to the necessary technical management duties of this pos! ition in a 24/7 operation, candidate may be required to be on ! call and work various shifts such as weekends and/or evenings.
