Matheson Trucking, Inc. is looking for an experienced Software Engineer II in Sacramento, Ca. Software Engineer II who are technically savvy and career-minded are invited to apply.
Department Overview: The Matheson IT department is responsible for the technology infrastructure and telecommunication network, software development and end user support servicing all Matheson companies.
Position Overview: The Software Engineer II will be part of the Matheson Information Technology department in a development/maintenance role. This position will be also be the resident functional expert, trainer and liaison between Matheson Control Center (MCC) staff and the IT department and will work with fellow IT team members as well as other Matheson employees while working on new software solutions and maintaining existing o! nes.
This position requires the ability to be a team player and to communicate effectively with non-IT personnel. The MCC is instrumental in the day-to-day success of the operations of Matheson Postal Services division as well as provides support to Matheson Flight Extenders division. This is a fast-paced dynamic work environment operating 24/7/365.
Responsibilities:
- Write functional documentation, user guides, etc.
- Troubleshoot bugs and implement fixes for them.
- Offer suggestions for improvements/enhancement to currently developed solutions.
- Create new test driven development solutions as they are requested.
- Offer user training and support.
