Job opening - Software Engineer - OCaml/Scala/Java/Android at Mr. Number (Palo Alto, CA)

Mr. Number is looking for a few outstanding engineers to join our team. You will tackle challenges such as scaling up infrastructure to support millions of new users each month, managing and analyzing big data sets, and building features for a mobile app that transforms calling and texting. The team is small and we release code frequently, so you can make a huge impact the day you join.

You will have the opportunity to build features in all areas of the product and system. We write code in Scala, OCaml, and Java. You don't need to know all of these languages but you should have strong experience with either functional programming or the Android platform and a desire to build expertise in the other. The job is based in Palo Alto, two blocks from the University Avenue Caltrain station. Requirements

• BS or MS in computer science or related field (or equivalent job experience)
• 3+ years of professional programming experience
• Experience with functional programming languages or the Android platform, and a desire to work with both

Bonus skills

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3)
• Familiarity with OCaml, Scala and/or other functional languages (F#, Haskell, SML)
• Experience with relational data stores (MySQL) and non-relational (e.g. Redis, Riak)
• Experience with Map/Reduce and other big data frameworks
