Job opening - Front End Engineer at Fullscreen (Culver City, CA)

Fullscreen.net is looking for a front-end developer to join our team and grow with an exciting, fast-moving early-stage startup.

You'll be working on shaping the digital production studio of the future by building out the social features and data-driven analytics that make up our dashboard product for video content creators and networks. You'll form and test hypotheses by rapidly prototyping and launching new products, you'll finely-tune features in an iterative work environment and you'll constantly build, test, ship and learn. Our engineering and product team is made up of startup vets and hackers who love pushing our own boundaries and learning new things every day (and night, building sideprojects and winninghackathonsallovertown). You'll also work with pioneering thought leaders including our founder George Strompolos, former Google exec and co-creator of the YouTube Partner Program.

You're someone who:
- Is smart and gets things done.
- Has a dee! p understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript.
- Uses Javascript libraries (Underscore, jQuery) but doesn't NEED to.
- Expertly manipulates DOM elements and talks to APIs like a second language.
- Builds beautifully usable interactions and user interfaces.
- Can find your way around distributed version control (we use Git).
- Has a Github account and/or legit examples of past projects that demonstrate the above.

Bonus points if you can hack Ruby on Rails or Node.js, if you've worked with client-side MVC frameworks (Backbone, JavascriptMVC) and if you've worked with other parts of our stack like MongoDB, Redis and Heroku.

We offer health, dental and vision coverage, an open vacation policy (no complicated rules or set number of days per year) and a new MacBook Air for every new engineering and product hire. And at Fullscreen we're also:
- Solving interesting problems: we spend our time both brainstorming and prototyping new features as well as d! oubling-down on efficiency and performance in order to scale w! hat works.
- Making a difference: we're the fifth-largest YouTube network, and our work empowers content creators who get over 375 million YouTube views per month.
- Shipping all day long: everyone on the team deploys code directly to production.
- Shaping our approach: we define our own standards and processes, shaped in equal parts by Agile and Lean methodologies as well as our own experiences.
- Learning from each other: Our engineering teams’ varied experience ranges from 4-person startups to ad agencies to massive enterprise software companies, and we acquire learnings from each other nonstop.
