Job opening - Sr Firmware Engineer at Seagate (Longmont, CO)

Seagate is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our design center in Longmont, CO.  This position is part of a highly skilled software infrastructure team that supports a Global organization.  This infrastructure system supports the development life cycle for Seagate’s Firmware (FW), SIE and Servo organizations.  This team also supports over 1600 SBM users (task management system), >800 Perforce users (version control system) and >400 Code Collaborator users (code review system).  In addition, this team supports Firmware’s process documentation repository system known as the FDM (Firmware Development Manual).  This position reports to the Senior Engineering Director.  This person will also be responsible for the following:

• Understanding the interactions of our firmware infrastructure system

1. Perforce


2. SBM (Serena Business Mashups) - Task tracking system
3. Code Collaborator


4. Servers


5. Databases

• Ensuring the integrity and functionality of the above infrastructure system.


• Ensure zero down time with any component of this infrastructure system.


• Design and implementation of web applications and APIs for internal use


• Will provide computer system engineering expertise.  This includes requirements management, design, implementation and maintenance support.
