We're a VC funded startup entering what will be our most exciting year to date and we're looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails developers. We can offer a 3 year UK work visa to superstar candidates too, and fast.
We use Rails, MongoDB, jQuery to build the uberlife site on heroku and use github for source control. We also have a RESTful Rails API that powers the apps that are built to encourage hanging out, such as our own iPhone app.
Our CitySocialising site is due to be re-designed and re-built on our new platform to give us 2 global products in the online to offline social networking space and solidify our position as pioneers in this area.
We are located in London's tech hub Old Street, have a lovely office with friendly people and we all work hard. We use Agile scrum along with Lean startup! principles to build our product.
Some of our development team is scattered around the world so you should feel comfortable working in such an environment where your remote teammates feel like you're there with them. But the other half are based in-house so you'll have a tight team around you too.
We love what we do and it doesn't feel like work. If you're a nice, friendly person who is technically solid, as well as with a passion for writing code and developing new products, we think we'll get along. If we can look at your code on github that's a big bonus.
