Overview: 

New York City: Fast growing ecommerce and editorial online business seeks a talented PHP Developer to move forward with our product development roadmap and take user experience to the next level. Ideal candidates for this full-time on-site position will possess an in-depth understanding of web usability, a passion for improving user experience, coding best practices, and keen interest in the latest development trends, coding techniques, new media and devices.

Responsibilities:

·       Provide design, development and maintenance of our web properties through a demonstrated proficiency of HTML

·       Contribute to our Web technology strategy including the identification of tools, extensions and best practices.

·       Take a creative approach to constantly improving the user and customer experience resulting in increased conversion rates

·       Manage and deliver multiple assigned project tasks in a strict deadline-driven environment.

·       Work closely with marketing, ecommerce and editorial staff to ensure successful rollouts.

·       Define and articulate the design vision using storyboards, concept sketching, wire-frames and prototypes

 

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications:

Technical Requirements:

    5+ years experience in development and coding

    Proficient in HTML, CSS and Javascript

    Strong working knowledge of WordPress and Magento

    Passion for web standards and user experience

    Conversant with a variety of web templating systems and frameworks (especially PHP)
