Software Engineer (All Levels) 

The Job
  • Own and implement scalable features in our web-based and/or mobile UIs
  • Work side by side with Program Managers to determine the behavior and feasibility of specifications
  • Help Quality Engineers on strategies to test and automate your code
  • Influence the operations of the software development organization. Improving the development experience at Appian is everyone’s job
  • Spend 10% of your time working on projects of your own choosing
  • Work in small teams, unhampered by distractions

About You
  • B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering (other similar degrees considered)
  • 3+ years experience shipping software
  • Fluent in object-oriented programming languages, such as Java and C++
  • St! rong object-oriented design & development skills
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills
  • Team-oriented individual, energetic, result and delivery oriented, keen interest on quality
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems and other fundamental Computer Science concepts
  • Experience with large-scale, mission critical web applications
  • GWT and JavaScript experience preferred (front end developers)
  • Strong knowledge of web security (senior security engineer)
  • Hands on experience with JUnit and Selenium (software engineer in test / QA Lead)
