Senior Front-End Engineer
App marketplaces have changed the way consumers find the perfect way to be entertained, learn, be more productive and communicate. As GetJar grows to meet the demands of consumers and content creators, we need a talented front-end engineer to boost the abilities of our storefronts and customer facing systems.
We are in the middle of radically redesiging everything mobile at GetJar and this is great opportunity to build an innovative app marketplace from scratch with emphasis on beautiful design.
Backed by Accel Partners, GetJar serves its millions of consumers with more than 150,000 appli! cations from key partners and customers such as Rovio, EA, Zynga and CBS. Our team is composed of senior individuals from Apple, Google, Microsoft, and Skype and we are looking for talented individuals to help build out our core engineering team.
Requirements
- 6+ years development with HTML, CSS, Javascript (and various frameworks jQuery, etc.)
- 3+ years PHP development ideal
- Extensive experience using MVC frameworks
- Strong experience working with multiple browsers and devices (e.g. PC, mobile, etc.)
- Experience with MySQL, NoSQL databases, PHP, and Nginx an asset
- Thinks like the customer, designs as an architect and codes as an engineer
- Pixel-perfect attention to detail
- Delivers seamless, well-performing and engaging products
- Believes in code quality and maintainability
