At Globys, the Contextual Marketing team is a small but talented start-up within an established, financially stable company. Our vision is to bring to business’ actionable marketing insights with our next-generation marketing science products that consume and analyze massive streams of data at scale and in real-time through the application of cutting-edge Machine Learning. 

We're looking for one key developer to round out our excep! tional team of scientists and engineers working toward this vision. This is a broad engineering role – building the core frameworks and platforms to dealing with the complexities of ingesting, storing and manipulating massive data in real time.

Predictive analytics, data mining, machine learning, Java and Scala, and distributed computation – all of these are leveraged to build our solution. Our philosophy is to build, test, fail-fast for rapid market insights, learn, then do it again. You will have immediate responsibility and ownership of a tight-knit team chomping through a greenfields opportunity.

The ideal person for this role will have:

• Built successful, enterprise-scale, business solutions on Linux/Unix


• Expertise developing in Java and JVM-targeted languages like Scala and Clojure
• Expertise developing with SQL (or NoSQL) data stores
  
• Self-starting mentality that thrives in early-stage, collaborative environments

Bonus points will be awarded for:

• Distributed Computation solutions on Big Data with Hadoop or grid frameworks


• Distributed Storage solutions with NoSQL frameworks such as Hbase, MongoDB or Cassandra


• High-Traffic, High-Availability web application or Linux systems
