DESCRIPTION:

We are searching for a Senior Systems Developer that is passionate about building this experience with us. By using strong programming skills, solid computer science fundamentals, quick-to-learn aptitude, and excellent team communication the individual in this position will be a strong contributor to making our goals a reality.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Contribute to the analysis, design, critique and continual improvement of the site architecture, its constituent software components, process, tools, and methodologies
• Translate product requirements and technical designs into well-engineered, low-defect, robust code
• Lead team members on a daily basis on two or more projects
• Perform extensive unit testing, system testing, and! regression testing
• Assist in the deployment to testing, staging, and production environments
• Research new technologies or methodologies that can improve the architecture, user experience, or development process
• Troubleshoot systems issues, and
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field or comparable work experience
• Must have more than 7+ years of experience designing and developing software solutions,
• 2+ years of experience as tech lead, architect or lead developer of significant software initiatives or large scale enterprise systems
• 2+ years of experience working with database technologies
• 5+ years of experience working on web applications ideally with e-commerce functionality, and
• Proficient in a web ! development language such as .NET, Java, Ruby, PHP, Python, Pe! rl

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

• Understanding of Agile development practices
• In depth knowledge of working with and integrating with 3rd-party web services or APIs
• Good programming skills shown via demonstrations of project work, sample code, or detailed verbal descriptions
• Up-to-date on current development practices, trends, tools, processes, and debates
• Solid understanding of operating systems, and web server technologies
• Able to meet promised deadlines
• Quick and fearless in learning new technologies
• Quick to understand problems and deliberate in finding the best solutions
• Must be articulate and professional in verbal and written communication of status, ideas, questions, and concerns to technical and non-technical individuals
• Prefers to work in a team environment
• Able to e! xercise discretion and keep strictest levels of confidentiality
• Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at the company’s sole discretion, and
• Must be available and willing to work extended hours for production releases and as occasionally needed (during crunch times!) per day or per week, including weekends and holidays, to meet business needs
