AbeBooks.com - part of the Amazon.com Inc. group of companies - is looking for an experienced TPM to work at our headquarters in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. You will be embedded in an agile team working with development, QA and operations to build innovative products that deliver a great customer experience. You will work with stakeholders to understand the business objectives and ensure the delivery of projects in a ! consistent and effective manner, on time and on budget.



RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Advocate for the business: own and represent the businesses needs in technical discussions

  • Translate from geek: translate technical constraints and considerations for the business

  • Plan: define and sequence projects based on value, cost, risk and dependencies

  • Execute: remove roadblocks for your team and hustle to consistently deliver business value in a fast-paced Agile environment

  • Manage Risk: see round corners, identify and act on risks and create clear water for the team

  • Communicate: provide frequent meaningful updates to stakeholders and management

  • Keep up with the team: dive deep on to understand new and legacy systems and learn new technologies quickly in order to act as a sounding board for the team

  • Improve the process: constantly drive to mak! e the process more effective and transparent


QUALIFICATIONS   



  • Experience delivering cross-functional Agile (Scrum, XP, Crystal, etc.) software development projects that have driven significant business value

  • At least 3 years of project management experience, preferably in the e-commerce sector

  • A Computer Science degree or equivalent experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • A strong technical background and excellent problem solving skills
