This opportunity is for a leader that will own managing and growing a small team of highly skilled engineers; constantly improving operations by employing software engineering best practices; delivering features at rapid pace by efficiently allocating resources over sprint; driving product strategy and roadmap in collaboration with product and program management. You have thrived and succeeded in delivering high quality! technology products/services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly. You can prioritize well, communicate clearly and compellingly with a strong team. You are a seasoned and matured engineering leader who can dive deep on tactical issues yet employ high judgment to formulate product vision and strategy.

  • Deep understanding of distributed systems and web services technology
  • Experience writing and delivering production code at enterprise scale
  • Track record of building and delivering mission critical, 24x7 production software systems
  • 3+ years of experience managing a team of at least 4 software development engineers
  • Deep understanding of engineering best practices
  • Deep understanding of agile project management methodologies
  • Working knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object oriented design
  • Working knowledge of common Internet technologies (e.g. HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Master’s degree + experience building distributed internet software systems a plus
