Job Description

Skype is looking for a creative, highly motivated software engineers to play a key role in the definition, design, implementation and delivery of Skype’s data analytics platform. You will be part of a team that will be making the hard decisions around tools, technologies, architecture, implementation and delivery of the platform; impacting how Skype does business now and in the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage your considerable technical expertise to support design and implementation of a scalable, high-performing and testable Skype big data platform.


• Test driven development of Skype’s data platformin close cooperation with product management and other stake holders across thecompany.


• Active communication with fellow developers,not just in this team but also across Skype and potentially Microsoft.


• Implement! ation of testable software and closecooperation with quality engineers.


• Taking responsibility and ownership of theteam's work.


• Pro-actively searching for potential optimization possibilities.


• Continuously keeping an eye on the latest cutting edge technologies and leveraging these in one's own work as necessary.
