Fulfill role by designing python scripts to instrument and evaluate software releases when exercised against a wide variety of data sets. Responsibilities include new development, troubleshooting, use of Windows and Linux environments, ability to learn and support existing code, providing analysis on test results, and contributing to development of product software. Position requires working with research and engineering staff onsite and remotely. Strong documentation and communication skills required to support on-going development with a distributed team in a fast paced environment.
Senior Software Engineer (Python, speech recognition middleware)
- Contribute to development of s! oftware used in speech recognition research applications to measure system performance. Activity involves working with large scale framework using data sets across multiple languages.
- Responsibility extends to analyzing results, developing tests against use-cases featured in end-user products.
- Contribute expertise in Python software development using object oriented methodologies.
- Develop features in C++ for cross platform usage (Linux, Windows, MacOS) on scalable system architectures including desktop products and speech recognitions servers used in cloud computing.
- Interact and consult with research team(s) and product groups on a frequent basis.
- Work on new tools to improve middleware infrastructure to enhance test suite and validate results with research.
