Job Description:
We are looking for truly talented Ruby developers with a passion for clean code and great products. Our current technology stack includes Ruby on Rails, Sinatra, Resque and a variety of standalone ruby components and applications.
We're also using some NoSQL solutions; we use Redis extensively. We use Cassandra for large data volume denormalized and extensible data sets, and Mongo for dynamic documents. We select new technologies based on use cases and re-evaluate our choices regularly. This list gets longer as our problems change, so you'll need to be excited about learning and applying new solutions.
We work with the Twitter and Facebook APIs every day, so experience with OAuth or external APIs of any kind is a major plus. We also use Git - you don't need to be a ninja (you can learn from our resident expert) b! ut you should be familiar with it.
We're looking for "full-stack" developers, so whilst you don't necessarily need to know the ins-and-outs of Javascript lexical scoping, you should probably know what $() does in jQuery. The usual CSS/HTML familiarity is a given. ;)
We care about quality, both in code and in our process. We follow SCRUM and have a strong scrummaster team. Writing unit tests using modern framework like Shoulda, RSpec, or Cucumber should be second nature to you, and you should be comfortable performing and receiving code reviews.
We are working on an exciting mix of improving and scaling our highly successful existing apps, as well as developing entirely new apps, and taking our architecture to the next level.
