The FuseSource Support Team is looking for Open Source Support Engineers.
Our team is responsible for supporting our enterprise customer base with expert advice on developing, managing and scaling mission critical applications built with Apache ActiveMQ, Apache ServiceMix, Apache Camel and Apache CXF.
Our customers are open source savvy professional developers that expect well-researched and accurate solutions to developer level technical issues. This is a position that requires you to collaborate with many of the committers on the above Apache projects.
You can be based in our office in Boston or telecommute from anywhere in North America.
Here's who we are looking for:
• You can develop test cases, product patches and examples as required that resolve customer issues.
• You have some development level experience analyzing/debugging Java and/or C++ application issues at the language-level (code d! evelopment, code review, stack traces, etc).
• You are detail oriented, can take ownership of issues and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• You enjoy analyzing and reproducing problems, troubleshooting and can ramp quickly on new technologies.
• You have experience working with the Spring Framework, Maven, WebServices, AppServers or JMS.
You’re an excellent candidate if:
• You have experience working on large scale enterprise Java projects.
• You have existing knowledge in working with some of the Apache technologies listed above.
• You are able to successfully prioritize and work on multiple tasks at once.
• You are excited to work in the Open Source Enterprise Java space.
• You have experience working with customers, enjoy learning new things and can track down solutions to customer problems with minimal supervision.
