Sigma-Aldrich is looking to hire a BizTalk Middleware Developer. This is a full time, direct hire, and internal role in the St. Louis, MO, relocation assistance will be provided for the right candidate.
The BizTalk Middleware Developer will develop, deliver, maintain and support new SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) via an Enterprise Service Bus for varying business requirements. The Specialist will influence business decisions when complex solutions are designed, keeping simplicity and reuse as the primary objective of the ESB software architecture. The BizTalk Middleware Developer will be responsible for designing, orchestrating and developing new features for the ESB, integrating Enterprise Applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop and unit test new features for the ESB/current BizTalk version
- Create SOA applications and business processes. Integrate with! other enterprise applications such as SAP, Websphere, etc using standard business APIs
- Work within the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including development, documentation, testing, implementation, and process improvements
- Propose standards and best practices in all technical areas related to the application
- Responsible for design reviews and developing technical documentation for solutions
- Provide support, maintenance and testing of BizTalk solutions
- Ability to support multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines
- Deliver high quality software applications designed to address complex business processes without compromising the stability, performance and sustainability of the end product
- Collaborate closely with different teams to define and implement product features
- Requires significant knowledge across multiple platforms, processes or archite! ctures and the position will include directing the implementat! ion efforts of less experienced team members
- Maintain the software systems and programs of the group to provide seamless access by the users in a manner that supports the business of the group. This includes maintenance of the programs, databases, websites, processes, and other aspects critical to success of the business
- Provide support for the users of the software systems and programs, providing required changes and defect fixes in a timely manner that supports the business efforts of that group
