Job opening - Erlang Developer for Short-Term Contract at We Are Cosmo (London) (telecommute)

We Are Cosmo has already successfully developed an Erlang/MochiWeb chat + messaging server and now need an experienced Erlang developer to help us refactor the messaging system for super scalability. We are a small but expanding team; you will be working alongside two Python developers and with assistance from the original Erlang/Python developer.

This is initially a contract job for approximately six-eight weeks, but a full-time position or extensive contract work is a likely extension of the first tranche of work. Work can be completed either remotely or at our offices in south London.

You will have a real understanding of the challenges in building data intensive, distributed systems that scale to a significant size.

Key tasks:

• Enhance MochiWeb functional interface


• Refactor and extend the real-time messaging system


• Assist with the completion of an Erlang! moderation server


• Assist in setting up a highly scalable test environment
