DESCRIPTION:
The Geek Squad Technical Tools team is seeking a highly skilled Web Engineer with a strong background in application development. This position will be responsible for planning, designing, developing/coding, and testing applications in a team environment with the guidance of a Technical Tools Engineer or Lead Architect. In addition to mentored development, a significant portion of the job will be spent formulating innovative solutions to challenging technical problems. Finally, this position will be responsible for providing ongoing enhancements and support to deployed applications that enable Geek Squad Agents and global enterprise employees to perform their jobs more effectively and consistently.
- Working with senior team members to evaluate and assess present and future application needs
- Ongoing enhancements and support of deployed applications
- Performing on-call maintenance and emer! gency updates as needed
- Ensuring proprietary applications/sites and overall portfolio are of the highest quality possible
- Creating structured test plans for through, repeatable quality testing
- Formulating solutions to defects identified during alpha, beta, and release testing
- Developing personal programming abilities within the selected domain
- Working with senior team members to review code and learn best practices
- Acting as a subject matter expert for Geek Squad applications and components
