Definitive Logic seeks a full time Systems Engineer to support RedHat, CentOS and Microsoft Windows servers, and hosted applications, in an enterprise class environment. The candidate must have a strong server and application support background, with experience in day-to-day operations and maintenance, including solution development, monitoring, tuning, upgrades, security, problem determination and resolution, and backups.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performing tasks requiring SQL Server, MySQL and Oracle DBA skills
- Providing operations support for enterprise applications
- Installing, operating and maintaining Microsoft Server 2003/2008 servers
- Installing, operating and maintaining CentOS and RedHat Linux servers
- Manage server backup activities
- Installing, configuring and working with monitoring utilities
- Performing server patching after-hours and on weekends
- Providing support for hosted PHP, java, .NET applications
