Exceptional systems engineers and data center technicians sought to create and maintain systems and network infrastructure at a supercomputer data center near Binghamton, NY. Part-time and full-time positions are available. We will consider candidates with all levels of experience.
Successful candidates will work on-site to assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our servers, network switches, clusters, and massively parallel supercomputers as well as the power and cooling infrastructure for our data center. Ideal candidates will be familiar with modern computer and network hardware, basic Linux systems and network administration tasks, cable routing, as well as other data center practices. We are prepared to reward exceptionally well-qualified individuals with above-market compensation.
D. E. Shaw Research is a New York–based interdisciplinary research group pursuing an ambitious, long-term proj! ect aimed at achieving major scientific advances in the fields of biochemistry and molecular biology. Among the group's current activities is the development of specialized supercomputers designed in part to fundamentally transform the process of drug discovery.
