A BIT ABOUT THE SERVICE AND WHY IT NEEDS YOU:

WizeHive empowers people to get customized business apps up and running as easily as getting an app on a mobile device. The technology behind the platform is extremely complex - whether it be form building, deep reporting, automated workflows, or social dashboards, t! here is no shortage of major engineering challenges. Some of these are solved and require maintenance, and others have yet to be properly addressed. We need a self-starter that can help us constantly look two steps ahead, and work alongside other bright engineers to craft & implement solutions.

YOU ARE:

• A professional backend developer with at least 2 years experience in a startup environment
• Organized & detail oriented
• An exceptional problem solver & communicator
• An expert with data-driven web solutions
• Accustomed to producing & consuming RESTful APIs
• Well-versed in rapid development frameworks
• Familiar with an agile software development workflow

A NOTE ON TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIZATION:

WizeHive is primarily written in PHP, using Cake! PHP as a framework, and MySQL as its data store. Of course, you should be comfortable with & accepting of this environment. However, we also have various server-side JavaScript, NoSQL solutions, and MapReduce models in place or in progress. Whenever realistic, we are comfortable using the best tool for the job. We welcome a diversity in skill set.

Job opening - Message Agency: Senior Programmer/Drupal Developer

Message Agency is an advanced Drupal shop that is seeking a sharp, creative, reliable senior developer to join our growing full-time team.  Our workload is overflowing, and we need to bring talent on board immediately.

We are looking for a solid PHP programmer who ideally has experience with Drupal or other open source content management systems.  You should be passionate about doing things the right way, documenting your work, and collaborating with team members to arrive at the best solution.  

Our sites tend to be heavy on interactivity and our clients often require integration between Drupal and third-party web applications or other software.  In fact, we are the shop that developed the current integration suites between Salesforce and Drupal (http://drupal.org/project/Salesforce) and between Ver! tical Response and Drupal (http://drupal.org/project/VR).    

Duties include analyzing client requirements and design documentation to develop implementation plans for interactive sites built with the Drupal CMS, developing custom modules and selecting/deploying relevant modules, establishing and maintaining coding standards, and server administration.  In addition to site development duties, assist with the design, development, and refinement of internal products.

Qualifications include:  (1) Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent preferred; (2) 5 or more years of experience as a programmer and/or web developer; (3) Experience programming with PHP, MySQL, Javascript, and web services; (4) Experience developing with the Drupal CMS; (5) Understanding of database design concepts; (6) Ability to adhere! to established processes and standards; (7) Team player with ! the ability to take coaching as appropriate. 

Message Agency was founded in 1995.  We are a seasoned, established web development company that focuses on the nonprofit market. We have national and regional clients, but we are a small and flexible shop with many opportunities for the right person.
