Point-of-sale systems have been far too crusty for far too long. We're changing this by building a cloud-based point-of-sale system that leverages inexpensive ARM-based SoCs and capacitive touch screens for clients (think Android tablets and phones, custom-built Android devices, iPads, etc.). We're also building the first "app store" for point-of-sale, which enables developers to build solutions for merchants and deploy them at scale. We're unlocking point-of-sale data and services through a RESTful API.
We partner with payment processors and point-of-sale consultants and value-added resellers worldwide to b! ring our solution to market at vast scale. This open approach enables us to scale very quickly through distribution partnerships.
Your job will be to help build our Android point-of-sale app. We have deep knowledge and experience building on Android. We build for Android first at Clover and use the platform to its fullest extent. We get all shapes and sizes of Android devices to play with, including some devices explicitly designed for the retail environment.
