Imaging Resource is hiring a part-time contract developer to improve and modernize our content management systems. Part of our site is based on EE and part a creaking, custom system of vanilla php, mysql and content created by authors and added to the filesystem. What this means is you'd need to be expert in Expression Engine, as well possess deep knowledge of various content management systems and of moving organizations with significant codebases to a robust content management system.
On the Expression Engine side and we've run into frustrating issues in deployment, configuring the WYSIWYG editor and upgrading EE. It's abundantly clear that we need a developer with greater experience in EE and CMS's generally. That's where you'd come in.
This job can be done remotely and you would have significant flexibility in the hours you keep, but you would need to commit to some time during business hours (we're not looking for moonlight! ers). Compensation level is competitive for this part-time contract position.
On the vanilla php legacy system, we need to refactor and improve the codebase to allow us some ability to implement new features with the current system as we begin designing a new system and transition process
After we get acquianted with each other, we'd need you to commit to a base level of available hours, in return we'd commit to filling at least that many hours. This would probably be at least 20 hours/week, with some weeks being more, as your availability permits.
