Job opening - Principal Product Manager, Display Advertising at Amazon (Seattle, WA)

Amazon is continuing to invest in its Worldwide Online Display Advertising business to tap into the growing online advertising market. We are building next-generation advertising products by leveraging Amazon’s world-class personalization technologies, unparalleled data and content. We are seeking an experienced Principal Product Manager to drive innovation, build and launch world class advertising products which will meet the needs of this rapidly changing market. He or she will ensure that Amazon provides the best customer experience for both our end-users and advertisers. This is the perfect opportunity for somebody who enjoys a creative, fast-paced environment, has a strong bias for action, and prefers owning projects from end to end.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • The ability to think strategically, anticipate future trends, develop product roadmaps, and deliver on those plans.
  • Drive product requirements definition, research, metrics an! alysis, technical specifications, development, testing, and launch efforts.
  • You can manage resources and feature prioritization across multiple products and feel comfortable working with technical teams to make decisions about complex problems.
  • Work cross-functionally to manage bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences.
  • Able to confidently present to Amazon senior management as well as other large audiences.
  • The ability to work at all levels in the organization, with no job being considered too large or small.

  • A strong background (7+ years) in product management, sales and/or marketing is required.
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Experience handling complex data analysis.
  • A proven track record of delivering initiatives from conception thr! ough completion on time, within budget and on or beyond scope.!

  • MBA Preferred.
  • 3+ years in online advertising industry experience and/or previous sales/business development experience are highly desired.
  • Passionate about advertising and have experience creating compelling solutions which work both for end-users and advertisers.
  • Passionate about generating big, creative ideas for online media, growing the business and working with advertisers and agencies to build innovative products.
  • Sound business judgment as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize.
  • Must be able and willing to think and act strategically and tactically.
  • Basic understanding of technical integration of ideas, and the ability to build relationships with dev managers, SDEs and designers.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, proven ability to influence others internally and externally and experienc! e partnering with a world-wide sales organization
