We're looking for a Web Developer to work at our small but growing company. Our clients are primarily large agencies so you'll get to work on varied projects for some big UK and global brands. As a result, an agency background is an advantage.
You'll be building web sites, web apps and mobile solutions so strong front-end skills (HTML/HTML5/CSS/JavaScript) are a must as is experience building secure apps on a LAMP stack. Required experience includes:
- HTML/HTML5
- CSS/CSS3
- JavaScript (preferably using the jQuery library)
- Cross-browser and cross-device development (e.g. responsive design)
- Linux Apache MySQL PHP (LAMP stack)
- ExpressionEngine
- Git and/or Subversion
- Photoshop
- Basic server administration
- Website deployment
- HTML email development
- Ability and desire to learn new technologie! s
- 3 to 5 (or more) years in a Web Developer position
It would be an advantage if you have further experience in the following areas:
- CodeIgniter framework
- Knowledge of open source platforms and software
- Flash integration and ActionScript
In addition to the technical ability above, the ideal developer will have strong interpersonal skills, be comfortable in front of a client and have the ability to explain technical subjects to non-technical people.
We're offering an annual salary of £30,000 to £35,000 (dependent on experience), 1 to 2 days a week working from home, a Macbook Pro laptop (or 27.5 inch iMac) and the opportunity to work on interesting projects without the bureaucracy of working for a big company.
