We are looking for a Cloud Systems Engineer to be the first operations specialist to join our growing distributed dev/ops team. In this hands on role you will design, manage and implement all aspects of our cloud presence in Amazon Web Services. We use entirely Linux servers to run our Ruby on Rails based application as well as our real-time telephony servers. Our product is Software as a Service so we need to always be in service using rolling upgrades.
Since our infrastructure is entirely in the cloud remote applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Work with CTO, development, and product management to design and build a world class SaaS web and telecom infrastructure.
- Ensure high availability and 24x7 monitoring
- Design and implement security policies and best practices
- Continually improve operational processes! and procedures
