- Responsible for and assists in the troubleshooting and resolution of infrastructure problems
- Performs application profiling, capacity planning, workload modeling and forecasting on systems and storage
- Designs, prepares and conducts new technology evaluations to determine infrastructure solutions based on business requirements and makes recommendat! ions for improvement of infrastructure, technology, operational capability, reliability and performance
- Analyzes the performance of the infrastructure against current needs and planning for needed improvements
- Ensures optimal system and storage configuration and provisioning through engineering health checks and engagement of storage / system vendors as required
- Responsible for reporting of system and storage allocation, usage trends, I/O performance and bottleneck analysis
- Responsible for developing, maintaining and documenting technology standards used in the environment
