Tech Lead - Mobile

We’re looking for a Tech Lead to take on new mobile initiatives for EA Salt Lake. We are breaking new ground with our social mobile products and looking for someone to be able to help architect and work within existing EA technologies in order to help us reach our goals. This role would include designing and implementing client side technology across iOS, Android and web based clients. This position would also be responsible for the overall quality of the games and coding conventions for these respective mobile platforms. The individual is expected to work with Designers, Producers and Art Leads, to create a quality game on time and on budget. They will also be responsible to create solid launch and post launch plans. They should also be familiar with all aspects of game development, AI, Physics, Rendering and Audio. The Tech Lead must be a great team player, with great technical skills as well as unwavering energy and focu! s.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Responsible for leading software development that supports mobile games integrated      connectivity (iOS, Android, HTML5)


• Work with designers/producers to define project features and relative scope


• Identify project risks and work effectively to mitigate them


• Develop web services, feeds, and UI and integrate them within the game and      connected features


• Work with core backend services and database layer communications


• Collaborate with other engineers to integrate these systems and services


• Provide technical leadership and innovation for the game team


• Mentor other engineers and ensure high technical quality


• Take full ownership of large features from conception to delivery


• Define&n! bsp;technical requirements, write technical design specificati! ons


• Implementation of client and server code


• Testing, debugging and support of all code written


• Understanding of professional software development methodologies, QA and testing      approaches


• Able to deliver on tasks without considerable direction


• Exceptional analytical and creative problem solving skills; solution oriented individual


• Operates and delivers in a fast-paced and dynamic environment to meet high quality      standards


• Demonstrates a desire to learn and grow professionally
