Brightcove is looking for a Software Developer in Test to join our Ingestion team.  We are seeking a smart, energetic coder with that twisted mindset that hunts down the oddest of edge cases to help us build the systems! that our customers depend on daily.

Job responsibilities:

• Write the code that expands the frameworks that let us sleep soundly, knowing we have a robust system supporting our customers


• Contribute in design sessions to ensure the team is building the products our customers want, in a manner that gets it into their hands as quickly as possible


• Collaborate as the team is building those designs, to make sure they are meeting the high standards our customers have in terms of performance and quality


• Identify, document, and potentially find workarounds for bugs in the system

Qualified Candidates will have: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent


• 3 to 5 years experience


• The ability to write code in Java, or other comparable language


• A Talent for thinking outside th! e box

Desirable, but not n! ecessary experience:

• Experience working with transcoding technologies


• Experience with a wide variety of Video Codecs and Devices


• Experience building systems that handle high volumes of traffic

This position is located at our new Corporate Headquarters in Boston, MA, overlooking Fort Point Channel and just one block from South Station.
