Job opening - Senior iPad Game Developer at Phoenix Guild (Burlingame, CA; San Francisco, CA)

Phoenix Guild is a small startup with a big vision: to be the Blizzard of the post-pc era.


Founded in San Francisco by the guy who created OpenFeint - the social gaming network with 200,000,000 users on iOS & Android - we are building multiplayer games for gamers on tablets. We are a well funded, small team of three people. We're neck deep in building our first game and intend to launch this year. 


We’re looking for someone to join our small team who has a deep understanding of modern console and/or PC game development. Someone who wants to build genre defining games that can reach one billion users. Someone who wants to ship games quickly and not spend years of their life building a game hoping people will play it.

At Phoenix Guild you'll be expect! ed to contribute to solving  problems like these:



  • Figure out how to maximize usage of the iPad 3 hardware (with an eye towards iPad 4) to build the best visual quality game possible

  • Work on core game play systems that involve low-latency networked gameplay systems

  • Build and modify tools and pipelines for a team of artists to get high resolution content into the game

  • Help with all technical aspects of bringing a game to market including building user interfaces and screen flows as needed.


You will also have the opportunity to move into lead and architecture roles as the team grows
