Who you are

You're an experienced and disciplined web developer, at home with Ruby or similar (e.g. Python, Groovy, Scala), can use either ORMs or raw SQL, have used various web frameworks, are test infected and who works on serious web applications.

Given a problem, you can design and implement a solution through the whole software stack.

You will need to adapt to the tasks of e-commerce, video streaming, big storage and supporting the UX developers. Day to day you will be part of the small but growing Aframe development team, working on both new projects and improving existing code.

We are Aframe, a pro video collaboration platform, bringing professional tools, format support and asset management to the production community. Unique in our approach, we're! considered disruptive technology.

Fuelling Aframe's rapid expansion is a new $7 million Series A round of venture capital funding led by Octopus Investments and Eden Ventures. As part of this growth, we have recently announced our expansion into North America, setting up operations in Boston, New York and Los Angeles as well as partnering with multiple upload centres to handle high speed video upload.

Our product has become a success to the point of needing another software craftsman.

We have a team of 4 happy and capable developers, a friendly dev manager, and a highly skilled sysadmin. The platform is Ruby and Javascript, with a dash of other languages and third party components. The site is served from three locations and is a fairly complex web app. The process is scrum based and we score a weak 5 on the Joel test.

Requir! ements

Ideally you would have the following skills.

• Strong refactoring and OO skills.
• Ruby, or at least a language with OO and closure constructs (e.g. Python, Groovy, Scala).
• Another programming language.
• Automated testing.
