Audible Connected Devices team is looking for a Software Development Manager to lead an engineering team in developing and operating a next generation of highly scalable, highly reliable mobile applications and services. The suite of applications and services will support the functionality of Audible globally and enable our growing channels / clients in the Wireless & Connected Devices strategy. Audible prides itself on providing listening experiences that enhance the commute, working out at the gym, or simply relaxing at home.Titles downloaded from Audible are compatible with hundreds of mobile devices, including the Apple® iPod®, iPhone, iPad, Amazon Kindle, Android, Blackberry, Palm and more than 500 digital player and devices.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in design, development, test, and deployment of the bedrock which fosters innovation in Audible.
You will have! an established background in building and managing reliable software in a service-oriented environment, have such software operate at high-scale and reliability with high SLA's, have a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment.
You are passionate about simple and elegant software solutions, customer-centric products, and utilizing agile development processes. You are results-oriented, customer-focused software development manager who gets excited about starting from scratch, running hard, and solving tough technical and operational challenges. You will lead a team of smart software development engineers.
You will work with senior management, engineering principals, the product team both within Audible and with Amazon to help shape the business requirements, bring high quality customer experience to market by owning the development of &! amp; operating business critical software services.
