The purpose of this position is to design, code, install, test, implement, maintain and support software systems. Will make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Plays an important role in assisting Bailey achieve company goals, be more efficient and help to provide better service through software based solutions.

- Adhere to and demonstrate the company’s core values on a daily basis
- Generate ideas to improve systems - design or streamline product delivery to enhance customer satisfaction, sales and profits
- Ability to make good technical decisions that impact po! sitively on adjacent systems or provide useful features
- Determine company/team needs to develop and implement software systems and applications to achieve Bailey objectives
- Produce detailed specifications and write program codes
- Test product in controlled, real situations before going live
- Prepare training manuals for users as needed, and give training
- Maintain systems once they are up and running and provide ongoing support
- Have an understanding of the internet’s role in business, to include web based marketing, security and the regulations
- Take suggestions and problem solve to find the best solution for concerns in order to improve the software to be more effective and user friendly
- Responsible for consistently turning out quality developments
- Accountable for good work standards and structured methodologies
- Stays abreast of new ! trends in IT and evaluates to determine opportunities for impl! ementation
- Be self-driven to task completion
