SNAP is focused on using using the best technologies and methods. SNAP is a LAMP shop with two extra M’s – Linux, Apache, MySQL/Mongo/Memcache, and PHP, and uses leading edge technolo! gies like Solr, Hadoop, XMPP and ejabberD. We have an Agile development environment with a SCRUM framework and 1-week sprints. Developers are involved in discussions about what should be built and how. We have hackathon days where developers spend the whole day working on a project of their choice. We also provide a $2000/year stipend for each employee to attend classes and workshops to keep their skills on the leading edge.
