Responsibilities:

The Sr. Java Developer is responsible for transitioning development and building an in-house development team.  You must have over 4 years of professional work experience developing web applications in an open source platform and SOA Architecture.  You are analytical, inquisitive, energetic, actionable and are comfortable with quantitative and qualitative data.  You understand agile development, and you are driven to write the best code of your life every day.  You understand the difference between theoretical perfection and working software you can actually deliver. You thrive in a high-paced environment.

• Take the lead on transitioning development back in house and building a team.
• Work to determine both what features are feasible and what resources in terms of time, money, and manpower features will take to get completed.
• Design and ! execute front-end applications.  Be adventurous and excited t! o try new techniques and technologies but also recognize the value of the tried-and-true.
• Communicate your designs to the other team members in a way that everyone understands and that will minimize back-and-forth.

Requirements:

•  4+ years of experience software development experience
• Architecture and development experience in enterprise applications
• Intimate understanding and knowledge of JZEE, Tomcat, PostgreSQL, DBMS, Hibernate, Spring, Dojo, Tapestry, Web Services, HTML and Web Frameworks
• Mobile app development experience a HUGE plus
