Linux Sysadmin
DRH Internet, a software development company that specializes in email server software, is looking for a Linux system administrator. We're innovating in an otherwise stodgy enterprise software market. We're small, but fast growing.
You'll be working closely with our existing Linux system administration team to support our software for our clients. Responsibilities will include installing our software on client servers, configuring the software for the customer's needs, handling support requests, troubleshooting problems, and administering our internal servers. We see our system administration team as a competitive advantage -- we are frequently complimented on the excellence of our support.
This is a work-from-home position. We would prefer someone in the North West Indiana or Chicago area, but will also consider people outside of that area.
Required skills:
- Excellent oral and w! ritten communication
- Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with the Linux or UNIX command line
- TCP/IP configuration and troubleshooting
Other skills we are interested in:
- MTA (qmail preferred, postfix, exim, sendmail)
- DNS
- Apache/HTTP
- Databases (MySQL, Postgres)
- PHP, Perl, Python, or shell scripting
