Annual Salary: $42,715 to Negotiable (pay grade 6)
As a member of the UCF Center for Distributed Learning (CDL) team, the Web Applications Developer Assistant will use technology to shape the future direction of online learning. This position is responsible for defining the architecture of web applications in the most appropriate fra! mework, developing web applications using PHP and Python, ensuring the integration of web applications with databases and back-end services, and lastly, providing analytics for decision making. Some of the core applications support CDL processes and workflow, as well as enhance the online experience for UCF students and faculty. All applications are developed with a thorough understanding of Section 508 standards, version control, and collaborative techniques and technologies.
-Analyze the online learning needs of our faculty, students and CDL staff, design and develop/integrate web applications in support of online learning with corresponding documentation and reports.
- Create web-based programs, processes, and procedures to support online learning and interactive media development.
- Design, develop and integrate web-based computer programs in support of online learning.
- Support applications and systems such as course management system, ePortofolio, l! earning objects system, iTunesU, mobile applications and other! instructional systems.
- Assist with the development and support of instructional applications for students taking online programs.
- Assist with the collection and analysis of needs for students taking online courses using web-based applications.
- Assist with the development of enterprise training and support applications for students taking online programs.
