Grooveshark’s Gainesville operation is seeking a talented Systems Engineer who is interested in backend functions for the Grooveshark web application. The Systems Engineer will work with a team of engineers to enhance and maintain the underlying systems that power Grooveshark. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various programming languages and projects. 

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the design, implementation, and management of all the underlying data stores, application services, queues, and custom-written subsystems being utlized at Grooveshark.


• Align performance and scalability requirements for new product development projects within the capabilities of our infrastructure.


• Monitor and forecast the performance of our infrastructure and prevent any bottlenecks from occuing by optimizng code and scaling service architectur! es.


• Serve in an on-call rotation as a tier two contact for any service incidents.
