Job opening - Senior (really smart) Java Dev at Payments Gateway (Allen, TX)

Looking for a talented individual to head up the on-going improvements to our core transaction processing platform. This is a highly available scaled out Linux/J2SE platform that utilizes multithreading, SSL, multicast, database commit deferral and other fancy secret sauce to integrate with leading financial platforms and provide sub-second responses for customers. The code base currently has *no open bugs*, that's right you get to come in and do new features not slog through a bug list.

Our DB backend is MSSQL2008 with an impending move to 2012.

We have unit tests, regress tests, stress tests, all sorts of fancy test harnesses. We use Jenkins for CI. Subversion is the revision control currently. The guy who originally wrote the codebase is still here and you can bother him and berate his code.

Always time for side projects to try new ideas and improve things, try your hand at node.js, reddis, websockets, .Net. We're pretty ! heterogeneous, so if there is technology that will help us, we love to pursue it.

This is full-time position, enjoy that steady paycheck and enjoy a high degree of autonomy.
