MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:  (Position Summary)

The Systems Analyst 2 is responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of solutions that meet business and customer needs. This position supports custom and third-party applications and systems implementations with guidance from manager and senior analysts.

• Develop in-depth understanding of multiple internally dev! eloped applications as well as the related work flows and business processes.


• Develop in-depth understanding of existing database schemas and an understanding of how operational data is stored.


• Communicate with business users to understand business needs and challenges.


• Communicate with other systems analysts to understand how application components interact with one another.


• Analyze the needs of business users and design solutions to meet those needs.


• Assist in research and recommendation of new technologies and third-party solutions.


• Consult with other systems analysts as needed to determine optimal solution and analyze areas of impact with other business processes.


• Assist manager and business users in determining priority of solution implementation.


• Implement solutions through development of custom software or installation and configuration of third-party softw! are.


• Deploy solutions with the coordination of t! eam members and business users.


• Assist with deployment of solution and the resolution of deployment issues.


• Assist in training business users as needed.


• Maintain and modify solutions as business needs require.


• Work with business on production defects and support.
