Job opening - Software Engineer - Frontend at Yummly (Palo Alto, CA)

As a Frontend Engineer, you will work on making the Yummly website the most functional and beautiful tool for home cooks around the world, with a focus on usability, speed, and engagement. You should be self-motivated and creative, with a passion for quality. We value collaboration: you should be able to communicate openly and clearly and be ready to give and receive constructive criticism.


Our web apps are written in Ruby and Clojure and a lot of JavaScript and jQuery. We also use PostgreSQL, Solr/Lucene, hadoop, and most AWS services. We believe in using the right tool for the job, in writing good elegant code, in design before implementation, and in thinking before doing. If these sound right to you, you don’t need to know all the tools we use, but you should be willing and able to! learn quickly (and to teach us the tools and techniques you love).
