TargetSpot is seeking a bright and professional individual for our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate has extensive QA experience in a LAMP environment, possesses a strong knowledge of QA practices, excels at organization, and is comfortable working with databases, unit tests and the Linux command line.
Knowledge of web-specific QA tools, Flash testing, and mobile platform testing is valued. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is desired, but not necessary. The QA Engineer would work on identifying and reporting software bugs, creating and executing test plans, and participating in a variety of other QA activities, including writing unit tests and contributing input to the QA process. The QA Engineer will also provide UX feedback and will work closely with members of the Engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional testing on the TargetSpot ! system built mainly in PHP, MySQL, CSS, JavaScript & Flash
- Investigate reported problems and assign issues to the appropriate team members
- Conduct verifications of bug-fixes and record results
- Update and help maintain the bug tracking system
